Zuhair Murad’s heroines, for the haute couture fall-winter 2014-15 collection, enter in a new dimension. Inspired by the poetry of a new contemporary, architecture and volume collide to form the foundation of a landmark collection that redefines luxury and seduction for the modern woman.
Zuhair Murad fall couture collection is, as always, exceptional and amazed with its splendour and luxury. The impressive silhouettes, magnificent skirts, embroidered corsets, sheer fabrics make the lineup unique and feminine. Form-fitting sheaths, willowy ball-gowns cut on the bias, and perfectly tailored separates reign supreme this season. Bold cuts, asymmetric draping and pleating define a new type of silhouette that merge a traditional hand with a forward-thinking approach. Outfits are adorned with beads and geometric patterns. In perfect harmony with these architectural constructions are intensely radiant bejeweled tones: emerald, sapphire, black diamond, multicolored topaz, tourmaline, moonstone, and silver create a dreamlike sense of eternity – a stunning basis for boldly assumed chic. Chiffon and crêpe de soie act as flawless foundations of the most majestic movements; tulle, organza, geometric lace and doupion silks add glamour.
Without a doubt, Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad presented another striking and remarkable collection. I have been a fan of this designer for so long, but I felt not too much different between the old and a new collections. It is not mean anything wrong, I love his dresses. If I would have a chance to wear a red-carpet appropriate gown from any designer, I am sure I would choose Zuhair Murad. How to characterize this collection the most: Dreamy and polished. I choose a few, what I would wear or recommend to my friends.
