Valentin Yudashkin SS 2014 - dark yellow organza and lace evening gown

For 25 years the Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin has been able to achieve many remarkable goals. Not only he was the first fashion designer in post-Soviet Russia to appear on the scene, but he managed to maintain his eponymous brand alive for more than two decades and establish it as the Russian fashion brand par excellence.

Very close to the couture style –Valentin Yudashkin is a correspondent member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture since 1992- his style is sumptuous, glamorous, focused on clients looking for luxury. A style that the creator has mastered during the years, rendering his creations as simple gestures of a painter. On the Silver anniversary of the brand, Mr. Yudashkin presented a collection flirting with the 80s, silhouettes with exaggerated shoulders already embedded in the conscious of fashion history. The metallic Prussian blue was an emblem in a series of night gowns that preceded a set of saffron jackets and pants. Even if there were about ten looks in the safest color of all -white, the finale of the show was a little bit too shiny, too couture yet lacking a trend. In any case, these pieces give an idea of the métier displayed by Mr. Yudashkin.
