Clean lines and high contrast give this room a contemporary feel. The bas-relief above the mantle in this Great Room is by the same sculptor who worked on the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. The view from the kitchen into the Great Room, showing the flow into the living room and upstairs gallery. A rosette on the ceiling of the dining room blends with the Mother-of-Pearl inlay in the cove above the molding to tie the room together. Bold molding on the ceiling brings the colors of the cabinets through the room. In addition, the light fixtures were chosen to provide bright, even light.Classic appointments in the library combine with touches like the pictures mounted on the bookshelves. The library was designed to provide comfort for either working at the desk or reading by the fireplace.
